Why do Diploma students pay more fees than others

Why do Diploma either govt or self sponsored students pay more fees than others like in my fees structure it says my fees is 67,000 per year that's like 36k per semester , that's Cooperative University of Kenya ,accomodation aside while degree students govt sponsored pay 18 k per semester only

what's that expensive for us

The big difference in fees between government-sponsored students and private-sponsored students is that the Government pays part of the fee for Government-sponsored students. That is why degree government-sponsored students pay less than even secondary school fees.
