The media council in Kenya runs yearly Journalism Excellence Awards. The AJEA awards take place on the May of each year during the celebration of the world press freedom day. The  Annual Journalism Excellence Awards (AJEA) in Kenya are meant to encourage professionalism in journalism.

Winners of the Annual Journalism Excellence Awards 2015 are;
