President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed all education institutions to be closed by 20th March 2020 over coronavirus rising cases in Kenya.

Cases reported as at 15th March 2020: Cases of Coronacirus have now reached 3 in Kenya as a result of contact from the first case.
President uhuru indicated That Travel is suspended for all persons coming into Kenya from any country with reported coronavirus case. Only Kenyan citizens will be allowed to travel to Kenya and proceed to self quarantine.
On Clusure of schools
Uhuru directed that Primary, Secondary day schools to suspend operations from tomorrow. Boarding schools to close by 18, March. Universities, tertiary institutions to close by 20th March.
Public places covid=19 precautionary measures
President uhuru said that Hospitals and shopping malls are encouraged to provide soap, water, hand sanitizers and ensure that all their premises are regularly cleaned & disinfected.
COVID-19 in Kenya
The first case of Coronaivrus was confirmed in Kenya on Friday 13th March 2020 at Kenyatta Hospital. It was a case of 27 year old lady who traveled from US Ohio, through Chicago, London to Kenya on 5th March 2020
