Samsung has unveiled a special edition Galaxy Note 8 to celebrate the 2018 Winter Olympics set to take place in PyeongChang from 9th to 25th February.
The special edition Galaxy Note 8 will feature Olympic themes and wallpapers of PyeongChang.
According to Samsung, over 4,000 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games Galaxy Note 8 devices will be given to athletes and staff.
The special edition galaxy Note sports a white back and gold Olympic rings to signify the winter theme.
Other features of the device include a bezel-less 6.3-inch Infinity display, enhanced S Pen and dual camera.
Samsung’s Chief Marketing Officer said, “we’re proud to provide the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games Limited Edition to all athletes in an effort to stay connected, capture, and share one of the most memorable moments of their lives.”
IOC President Thomas back had this to say:
“Samsung’s creation of an Olympic Games Limited Edition device reinforces Samsung and IOC’s shared desire to spread the Olympic spirit. It is because of dedicated partners like Samsung that we’re in the position to provide unforgettable experiences at the Olympic Games timer after time.”
Kenya will make a return to the Winter Olympics having last participated in 2006. 19-year old Alpine skier Sabrina Wanjiku Simader will be Kenya’s only athlete in the competition.
