The Ministry of Information, Communication, and Digital Economy is in charge of establishing, implementing, controlling, and developing Information, Broadcasting, and Communication policy. The ministry was divided into two state departments. The State Department of Broadcasting and Telecommunications; and the State Department of ICT and Digital Economy. Some of the ministry's key functions include facilitating the development of a knowledge-based information society. Periodically evaluate and update national ICT policy to enable the development of the ICT sector, creation of jobs through outsourcing of ICT services, etc.
