Jiji Kenya has a new web design. The design seems to be geared towards enhancing safety for buyers and sellers of Kenya’s largest classified website that has in recent times lost its loyal customers due to increase in fraud cases. Below is an official statement from the company.
UPDATE: OLX Kenya is now Jiji.co.ke
The New OLX Kenya
we’re excited to tell you about our overhaul for the ages. We’ve made the biggest update since we launched. Not only is the look and feel totally different, but also the way OLX works.
It’s now even safer, easier, faster and more fun to sell.
Everybody has a profile
Both buyers and sellers will need to register or log in to make trading even safer. Now you can see exactly who you’re dealing with and, even better, you can check out whether a buyer and or seller has mutual friends who could let you know if he or she should be trusted. Plus, you can follow your favourite sellers to get notified as soon as they have something new to sell.
selling is even easier
All you need to do is take a photo, write a catchy title, set your price and you’re done! You can add extra information like description and contact number to increase your chances to sell faster.
Search for deals your way
Because we know everyone is different, we’ve made it easy for you to organise your search results based on what you need. Do you want to see ads that are nearest to you first, working within a budget so need to sort a price range, or want to see the newly listed first? The new OLX has you covered.
It’s all about relevance
Now ads are ordered by not only what’s new but what’s relevant to you based on your interests in the ‘Recommended for you’ section. So, sellers no longer need to Refresh their ads. Relevant ads will be seen by interested buyers regardless
