Today (May 12, 2018)  Limuru girls school van was involved in a road accident at Thika road toll station with a lorry. It is reported that the Lorry rammed  into the school van, crashing it. There were 12 students in the van when the accident occurred.

The accident occurred at about 10:00 AM and 15 people have been injured 12 among them being the limuru school girls.  All have been taken to hospital for treatment. Daily Nation reports that one police officer has died.
