Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has published list of aspirants that have been approved to participate in the April 2017 party primaries. The Party nominations are expected to start on 13th  April and on 26th April, 2017.

April 2017 Party Primaries

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will begin their party nominations on 13th April 2017 followed by Wiper party . ODM has  the largest number of members who applied for party nomination.Unlike ODM, Jubilee party will conduct its party nominations in one day across the country.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga have assured candidates that party nominations will be free and fair and that there are no preferred candidates.
