Facebook with internet.org affiliates has launched Free and paid Wifi in Nairobi, Kenya termed Express Wifi. The Wifi  is  currently not available in the whole country but in some specific regions that have been listed below. Facebook intends to expand Express wifi across Kenya after completion of testing.

Nairobi is growing to become one of the most Tech Survey towns in Africa.  A Report released by Itweb Africa  indicates that Kenya has 12 million internet users coming number four  among the top ten in Africa in Internet access statistics..

Express Wifi is a project run by Facebook  working with Kenya Internet Service providers, mobile operators, Carriers and local business owners to help expand internet connectivity  in Nairobi.

How to get and renew Free and paid Express Wifi by Facebook in Nairobi, Kenya
To get Express Wifi  data plans follow the steps below;

• Visit:  https://surf.expresswifi.com/ and enter your mobile number and click next
• Express Wi-Fi will send an SMS with your new PIN. Enter then Pin and click next
• Fill in your details (official names) and clikc next
• You should be able to receive some data  if you are in the regions in Nairobi named below

• NOTE 1:  The project is in its initial stages and is currently available in the following regions  only (Kiambu, Kitengela, Limuru, Mlolongo, Ongata rongai and Thika). Facebook promises to expand in the near future.
• NOTE 2: Express Wifi has a one time free offer and then a premium internet subscription that is  cheap compared to the local providers (Safaricom, Airtel, Orange e.t.c)
• NOTE 3: Express Wifi works in partnership with surf.co.ke (surf has no relation with safaricom)
