Education Cabinet secretary George Magoha has today issued a brief statement about the release of KCSE 2021 exams and re-opening of schools. Below is what he said while addressing a press conference in Starehe Boys Centre.

Re-opening of schools

All children in primary and secondary school (excluding Grade 4) will re-open on Monday 10th May 2021 for 3rd Term and close on 16th July 2021 then proceed to a one week holiday before they re-open again on 26th July 2021 for first term.

Children in Grade 4 will re-open in 26th July 2021 for first term. (Here is the full school calendar). Private schools have been warned against forcing Grade 4 students to re-open on 10th May 2021.

Each higher institution of learning (University and College) has released its own revised schedule of academic activities

Release of KCSE Exams

On release of KCSE 2021 exams, CS George Magoha did not provide a definite date when the results will released but indicated that exams will be out soon.

As at today (7th May 2021), marking of KCSE exams in some centers has not been completed.
