On November 5, 2014, Safaricom released its half year financial results which indicated that it recorded a net profit of ksh. 14.7 billion and a total revenue of 79.3 billion. Revenue from data usage was sh. 6.5 billion which is a rise of about 19.6 percent. Safaricom has also invested 400 million which will help in boosting data revenue. It goes without saying that data sell is going to become the main source of revenue for Telecom companies in the near future. So which Telecom company offers the best rates for data usage?
Airtel Kenya remains offers the best and cheapest charges . With Ksh. 400 only you can get 4GB internet data bundles of airtel through brokers while with the same KSh. 400 you can at most get 600MB of safaricom internet data bundles from online data sellers or brokers.
