ID replacement at Huduma Center normally takes two weeks. Huduma Center has indicated that the ID replacement system was replaced. The new system is slow which takes time to serve customers. This does not affect all Huduma Center regions.
To check whether your national identification (ID) card is ready for collection then SMS you waiting card number to 20031. You will receive a sms with the status of your ID. You can also visit your application centre to confirm the status of your application
Unfortunately, there is no way Huduma Centre can hasten the process. Your fingerprints have to be processed by DCI who is the cause of the delays, not Huduma Centre.
To replace your lost national ID in the quickest way, visit the nearest Huduma Centre, you will be issued with a police abstract for Ksh. 100 (Inside Huduma Centre) and then proceed to apply for replacement of lost ID.
