If you want to transfer from one secondary school to another in Kenya, you need a transfer letter from any of the following directors below;If you are transferring from a sub-county school to another, you need a transfer letter from the Sub county director of education.If you are transferring from a county school to another, you need an authorization transfer letter from the county director of education.If you are transferring from one region to another, you need an authorization letter from the regional director of education. If you are transferring from a national school to another, you need an authorization letter from the director of secondary education.Other than the transfer letter, you also need a release letter from your former school (the school you want to transfer from) stating your conduct.
To change your HELB account category from self-sponsored to government-sponsored, send a copy of your national ID or KCSE result slip or certificate to email: contactcentre@helb.co.ke. The subject of your email should be, "Change from self-sponsored to government-sponsored."
