All students placed to Private Universities by KUCCPS will be sponsored by the government just like students placed to public universities. Therefore, you will not pay school fees as self-sponsored student.
You will only be a government sponsored student if you applied for placement using KUCCPS portal. If you apply for a course directly to the institution without using kuccps portal then you will not be sponsored by the government.
Any student who was placed by KUCCPS is eligible for government capitation. The only requirement is that you have to apply. If you did not apply, then you will not get government capitation. It is not like in the past, where all students placed by KUCCPS were eligible for government capitation.
That is a lost opportunity. If you cannot report to the University or College that you have been placed by KUCCPS due to financial, medical or any other problem then you are supposed to write a deferment letter to your institution.
Yes, if you have been placed to a private University like KCA by KUCCPS then your fee will be paid by the government. Kindly note that even government sponsored students placed to public universities do pay tuition fee about ksh. 16,000 to 20,000 per semester. Therefore, you will also have to pay that fee.
