My name is Virginia Chebet, 26 years old Kenyan from Uasin Gishu County . I have been on dialysis since 2007 due to kidney failure. I have flown to India twice, in 2012 and 2015, for a transplant but both transplants were not successful because I had higher level of antibodies which couldn’t match those of my donors.

 

My story

Following my birthday post on Jan 17th, thanks those who shared my story, I VIRGINIA CHEBET was overwhelmed with the responses, a couple of people turned up to get tested. Glory to his name, God has sent an angel I received a call have found a matching donor and I am planning to go back to India for the transplant this August.

Thank you to those wanted to donate but they were turned down because blood type did not match, those who came to get tested at oak tree clinic, Those who text me they want to donate blood too, wow! those who came to see me, call me and never seize to ask how am doing. There is nothing more good than when you have all the support from family and friends during your darkest moments. This has been the hardest part getting a match, it’s been over a decade now on the waiting list. I really don’t know why it took this long but I believe Gods time is the best. He is never early and never late but right on time, his time which is perfect. I have been doing dialysis twice weekly at eldoret hospital and for sure DIALYSIS is hard on the body, it does take every little bit of your energy. When I get home after every session I just want to go to bed and rest. It has drained me financially, physically and emotionally. It’s only those who have tasted kidney failure that knows the bitterness it comes with it.

We are required to raise amount SHS.3 MILLION to Cater for surgery and medications, kindly my friends am appealing for funds stand with me once more. That 50/=,100/=, 200/=, 500/, 1000/=will make me walk again.
