What is NITA?

National Industrial Training Authority was established under an ammendment act of parliament of October 2011, CAP237 Laws of Kenya. Its Vision is to be the leading National Agency in spearheading integrated industrial training at all levels in industry. Its Mission is to promote the highest standards in the quality and efficiency of industrial training in Kenya and ensure an adequate supply of properly trained manpower at all levels in Industry ITAP is a web portal designed to link training institutions to the Industry.Its targeted at reducing the duration taken to attach students to attachment places.

How long does this process take for an eligible student to get attached somewhere?

Placement of students to the Industry depends on the availability of vacancies from the employer, It can take one day to three weeks for a student to be attached.

How do i apply  for attachment or internship?

As a student you only require to fill an application form online (Click here to fill the form),then wait for the Attachment Liasion Officer (ALO) who is based in their institution of study to verify your eligibility as a student or Drop off letter of internship at NITA offices near Industrial Area Police Station.

NITA officials then take up the role of placing the students/lectures to the Industries/Companies which have declared slots available, for work place training.
