The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all those students from the above two Colleges who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2014/2015) and members of the public, that the 54th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 commencing at 9.00 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court next to Central Catering Unit, Main Campus.  The following is pertinent information:

 

 
CLEARANCE OF FEES

Only Graduands who will have completed paying the fees due to the University by Friday, November 6, 2015 will be allowed to graduate.

 

GRADUATION/CONVOCATION FEE

Each Graduand must obtain clearance certificate from the relevant College Registrar upon clearance with the respective Department/Faculty/Institute/School, Library, Halls of Residence and Games Department and pay a compulsory Graduation/Convocation fee of Kshs.1000/=.

HIRE OR PURCHASE OF ACADEMIC DRESS

The academic attire will be available for hire between Monday, November 23, to Thursday,  December 3, 2015 from the respective College Registrars at a fee of Kshs. 3000/=.  Those intending to purchase the dress should contact the Deputy Registrar, Examinations (Operations), Central Examinations Centre at Chiromo Campus for details.  The hired Academic dress must be returned to the respective offices by Friday, December 18, 2015 to avoid surcharging.

 

REHEARSAL

The rehearsal is an integral part of the Graduation Ceremony.  All Graduands intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10.00 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court next to the Central Catering Unit.

 

INVITATION CARDS

While hiring or purchasing the Academic Dress, each graduand will be given two invitation cards for two guests.  Persons without invitation cards will not be allowed into the Chancellor’s Court on Graduation Day.

 

PUNCTUALITY

Graduands and invited guests are advised to arrive early on the Graduation day and be seated by 8.00 a.m.
