Maktaba library awards of the year (2014) were released. If you missed the list of winners then we’ve got it.

The 5th edition of the Maktaba library of the year award  was organized by he Goethe-Institut, the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation and Kenya Library Association.

Over 70 libraries  were competing for the top price and winning
libraries were awarded by considering their innovation, preservation of indigenous knowledge,  application of modern ICTand promotion of local content.

Beautiful university libraries in Kenya like Kenyatta University’s postmodern library and Moi University’s Margret Thatcher Library are missing in the list but this is because the ranking did not take into consideration of physical looks only.
