Following fire tragedy which occurred on 7th/8th of October, 201 that destroyed Maseno University office of the vice chancellor and financial officer, the chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee has appealed to the institution staff and the whole of the student fraternity to volunteer information that will help the ongoing investigation which is meant to find out whoever set the block on fire which led to devastation of the institutions vital records and vacation of the students from the university. As indicated in a memo posted in the official university website the chairman of Ad Hoc Committee, which is in charge of the investigation, Professor Philip Aduma urged the students and the entire staff to provide information using the committee email address.

 
The memo read, “This is a special appeal to all staff and students of Maseno University to volunteer information that can help the ongoing investigations, by an Ad Hoc Committee, following the incidences of fire on 7 th/8 th October 2015 and closure of the University’s Main Campus on 13 th October 2015. Please forward relevant information to any of the following:
