Nation Media Group is a Kenyan – based multimedia company which also operates in other parts of East Africa.

 

It was founded on 20^th March 1960 by His Highness the Agha Khan. Its headquarters are at Nation Centre, Kimathi Street.

It began as a voice of and for the Africans. During that time, the Daily Nation newspaper was doing great in expressing the views and say of the general public.

Up to now, it is the largest independent media house in East Africa.

It has also been quoted on the Nairobi Stock Exchange since the 70s. Most of its shares are held by individuals in East Africa.

 

Nation Media Group gradually grew from just print media to more platforms such as television, radio and other forms of digital media as trends in technology dictate. The likes of Easy FM, NTV, Q FM and Taifa Leo are proud products of the Nation Media Group. It has also extended its operation space as its now found in other countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda. It continues to broaden its boundaries.

 

Nation Media Group performs greatly in financial income. It has consistently improved the amounts of profits it accumulates as a result of using quality strategy and moving with the latest successful media technological trends and techniques worldwide.
