Mount Kenya University Graduation list: MKU 9th Graduation Ceremony, 11th December 2015: The Chancellor, Mount Kenya University, Prof. Victoria Wells Wulsin on behalf of the University Council, Management Board and Senate wishes to inform all our esteemed graduands who have qualified for various University Academic Awards and conferment of Degrees, that the 9th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, 11th December 2015.

All prospective graduands should note the following:
1. Venue and Graduation Date

The graduation will be held at the Mount Kenya University Thika –Garissa Road Graduation Pavilion Grounds on Friday, 11th December 2015 at 9.00 am.
2.Ceremony

The Graduation ceremony will be presided over by the University Chancellor, Prof. Victoria Wells Wulsin, MD, PhD, who will award academic awards and confer Degrees.

 

3. Registration

Prospective graduands are required to make applications for graduation on the University prescribed form MKU/EXAM/08A and MKU/EXAM/08B available in the office of the Registrar, Academic Affairs at the Main Campus (Thika), and University Campuses and on the University website www.mku.ac.ke

Duly filled forms should be submitted to the respective Deans of Schools from 9th November 2015 to 23th November, 2015.

4. Verification of Academic Records and Order of Names

All graduands are requested to verify their names from the 9th November 2015 to the 13th November 2015.Any requests for changes in spelling and order of names should be done within this period at the respective admissions office.The graduands list which is already approved by the respective schools can viewed from the University website www.mku.ac.ke.

 

All requests for changes in spelling and order of names must be accompanied by a copy of the KCSE certificate.

 

5. Rehearsal

All graduands intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Thursday, 10th December 2015 at the Thika – Garissa Road Graduation Pavilion Grounds at 10.00 am.

6. Fees
PhD : 4,800
Masters: 4,500
Post–Graduate Diplomas: 4,500
Undergraduate Degree/Diploma/Certificates: 3,500

7. Graduation Gowns

Graduands are expected to be in full graduation gown for both the rehearsal and the graduation ceremony on Thursday, 10th December 2015 and Friday, 11th December 2015 respectively. Graduation gowns will be collected as from 23rd November 2015 to 5th  December 2015, they will be collected from the office of the respective Deans of Schools at the Main Campus and from the Examinations offices in respective Campuses during the office hours.

The hired graduation gowns MUST be returned on or before Friday 21st December  2015 during the office hours. Any delay in returning the gown will attract a daily charge of Kshs.500/-
8. Punctuality

On the graduation day, all graduands will participate in the graduands procession in order of their respective schools at 7.00 a.m. Graduands and their guests will be expected to have taken their seats by 8.00 a.m. Those arriving late will not be allowed into the graduation grounds.
