Miss World Kenya Nyamira County, 2016 Mercy Mokeira is dead.

Mercy Mokeira fell ill on December 2016 and was was taken to Kijabe Mission Hospital for treatment. She is reported to have been diagnosed of Thyroids and later discharged after recovering.

 
She has since been faring on well until January 2017 when she developed complications and was taken to to North Kinangop Catholic Hospital.
She died in the morning of Saturday 28th January 2017. It is not yet clear as what led to her ultimate death.

She will be remembered for  her campaign to end the  jigger  menace in Nyamira County.
