What follows is a list of independent candidates published by IEBC in gazette notice 5519 that have expressed interest to contest for various elective positions in the August 2022 general elections in Kenya.

IEBC List of Independent candidates

Names and symbols of independent candidates that have been listed by IEBC as persons interested in contesting for the August 9, 2022, general elections. This list is not final as candidates have to appear before returning officers on the appointed dates for verifications of their details and approval.

Since there are thousands of candidates that are contesting for various seats (MCA, MP, Women Rep, Senator, and Governor), we cannot list all of them on this page. Independent presidential candidates alone are 38. Therefore, we will attach a pdf of the full list below the presidential list.
