28th July 2015, web rankings released by Alexa and available on its online platform indicate that Kenyatta University’s website www.ku.ac.ke has overtaken University of Nairobi’s Uonbi.ac.ke  to be ranked the  top university website in Kenya.  These ranking are not at all related to the academic performance of a university nor  are they related to the infrastructure development of a university.

Alexa website rankings are merely  based on the number of people who visit a particular website in a day. The top  general Alexa ranked website in Kenya is that of standarmedia digital.
Alexa is an amazon company that ranks more than 500 million website in the world. Each day the rankings vary depending on the visitors that a website receives.  For instance, at the moment kenyayote is the top ranked campus news blog in Kenya.
