The list was generated by the Candidate Registration Management System (CRMS) which allowed political parties to submit their candidates online. The last date of submission was on May 16, 2017.

7. UNITED DEMOCRATIC PARTY:  KHWA JIRONGO SHAKHALAGA

Independent Presidential candidates

A total of 18 candidates have shown interest to contest as president in the August 2017 elections. Whether some will withdraw in between May and August is a wait and see game.
