IEBC Eastern Province Number of registered voters: Kamba, Meru Tribes Majority


Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) registered voters in Eastern province which comprises mostly of Kamba, Meru and Somali tribe and  well known to support Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party/CORD.

The former Eastern province was divided into 8 counties which include Marsabit, Isiolo, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Kitui, Machakos, Makueni, and Meru counties. Below are the official IEBC registered voters  in Eastern (updated early 2017).

Number of Registered voters in Eastern  Province

 

  1. Marsabit County: 104, 615 voters
  2. Isiolo County: 54462 voters
  3. Meru County: 487265 voters
  4. Tharaka-Nithi:  155,487 voters
  5. Embu County: 227,286 voters
  6. Kitui County:  324, 673 voters
  7. Machakos County: 445096 voters
  8. Makueni County: 298221 voters

Eastern  Province total registered voters: 2,097,105   registered voters
