Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) registered voters in Coast province which comprises mostly of the Somali tribe and well known to support Hassan Joho and Raila Odinga’s ODM.
The former coast province was divided into 6 counties which include Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Tana River, Lamu and Taita Taveta counties.Below are the official IEBC registered voters in coast (updated early 2017).

Number of Registered voters in Coast Province
- Mombasa County: 408,747 voters
- Kwale County: 174,443 voters
- Kilifi County: 336, 132 voters
- Tana River County: 79, 454 voters
- Lamu County: 52,346 voters
- Taita Taveta County: 113, 862 voters
Coast Province total registered voters:1,164,984 registered voters
