David N. Wachira is the current boss of HELB. A man whose professional certificates seems to surpass his age. Since David N. Wachira took over as the chairman of HELB assisted by Charles M Ringera things seems to have totally gone wrong. Before the two joined HELB executive positions, university students used to receive their HELB loans two weeks before reporting to campus. Currently, students go more than a whole semester without receiving HELB.

We are not sure whether the two are cashing out of HELB loan delays. We are not sure whether the student population is becoming too high for HELB to manage. We are not sure whether it is miscommunication between the University and HELB about the students who are in session that is causing delays. We are not sure whether it is the government which is broke. But what we are sure is that the current management of HELB led by David N. Wachira and Charles M Ringera is wanting. If students were MCA’s and David N. Wachira the governor, then he could have been impeached long time ago.

“Yours is the most frustrating financial institution that I have ever witnessed. I spent my whole day yesterday there just for reconciliation, payment and to be issued with my clearance certificate. I encountered lazy staff who kept referring me from one officer to another. One lady even pretended to be sick, telling me she is going to the hospital and she was shamelessly there until 5. This is a very big SHAME. Whoever is dealing with customer management is seriously sleeping on the job. One has to come physically for their account to be reconciled. You can do better than that, nkest……”
