No one would desire to spend an entire day or go back in the evening to a shabby looking place. A home should be someone’s safe haven, somewhere to relax after a tedious day or spend time with family and friends, one’s little own world and who does not want a beautiful world? I believe art is the only way to run away without leaving home and how you decorate it is a true reflection of you. There are so many artistic ways to make your home elegant, lovely and stylish but it hardly comes cheap. We will be looking at a few ways to glam your home on a pocket friendly budget.

 

Use the Large Retailers during sales only

 

The large retail stores always have nice authentic pieces but very expensive. Instead opt to shop in flea markets and thrift shops. However, always be on the lookout for their sales months, you can grab a couple of great stuff at very affordable prices.

 

Turn your old stuff into gold

 

You can use your old photo frames as shelves on your wall or that old tv stand into a portable bar. How about that old mirror into a tray or even frame it with some cloth to revamp it? All you need is some spray paint or just paint to give it back its glamor.

 

Use what you have

 

If you have an artsy piece of cloth that you just don’t know what to do with or pretty magazine pages, you can simply frame them on a wooden surface and mount them on your wall. Those wooden soda crates you have lying around, turn them into a side table. Turn that extra bucket or wooden stool into an ottoman by sewing up some material on it.

 

Do It Yourself (DIY)

Doing projects on your own can help you save up. You can paint your own walls, make your own rug or carpet, sew your throw pillows or beddings, weave your baskets, make your own artistic pieces just to name a few. There are plenty of DIY videos on the internet where you can look up ideas and learn how to renovate your home.
