The Commission for University Education (CUE), the body mandated with overseeing University education has thrown their support behind the ministry of education CS Matiangi’s move to cancel fake degree.

While appearing in a citizen tv interview, the commission’s chair indicated that all degrees acquired by candidates who scored below a C+ plus are illegal. The commission indicted that bridging of courses is only allowed for candidates who scored a C+ and above.

After the release of the 2016  KCSE examination, Matiangi had indicated that reforms witnessed in the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) will be extended to University Education. That all Universities will have to account for their quality of education.
