KPSEA 2023 exams results and reporting dates

KPSEA 2032 examinations started on 30th October 2023 and ended on Wednesday 01 November 2023. A total of 1,253,577 students sat for Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) 2023 exams.

The ministry of education cabinet secretary today indicated that school fees for public boarding secondary schools must remain at Kenya Shillings 53,554 and Ksh. 40,555 for county and extra county schools.

Government capitation per public secondary school learner will be Ksh. 22,244 and Ksh. 15,000 per junior secondary school learner. Students joining Grade 7 in public junior secondary schools are not required to pay any school fee unless it is boarding fees.

School principals have been asked to use NEMIS to monitor and file reports of students reporting to schools each day. Students can only be admitted via NEMIS portal if they have physically reported to the school.

Admission to Junior Secondary: According to the ministry of education CS Ezekiel Machigu, parents should note that learners will join Grade 7 in the primary school where they were enrolled in Grade 6. The ministry has directed school board management to sit down and come up with new school uniforms for junior secondary school learners to distinguish them from other primary school learners. Here is a detailed procedure for admission to junior secondary.

Reporting date: Junior secondary schools will be opened on January 30th, 2023.
