Application forms for procurement of locally assembled desk for primary and secondary schools in Kenya and the procedure of how to apply for the tender.

Ministry of Education Locally assembled desks tender 

Applications are now open for locally assembled desks for public primary and secondary schools. The government has allocated Kenya shillings 1.9 billion into this project and is seeking local production of desks. If you have a workshop that produces desks or is a carpenter, you can take advantage of the tender.  

The application form is only one page in length and does require many details. 

How to apply for locally assembled desk tender 

  • Download application form: Registration of Workshops form
  • Fill the application form with your business and personal details
  • Submit the application form to the Deputy County Commissioner or assistant county commissioner.  
  • Shortlisted and successful bidders will be announced at the sub-county level 

The deadline for application and submission of forms as been extended from 18th September 2020 to Friday 25th September 2020.

Photos of the desks’ designs will be available at the county commissioner or county director of education or their sub-county offices.  

This project is being undertaken by the Ministry education led by CS Magoha and the Ministry of interior led by CS Fred Matiangi under the Economic Stimulus Programme that seeks to create employment and opportunities for the Juakali sector.
