Warning! Online Booking of rooms scams, con men and Hoax

It has come to Kenyayote attention that some con-men are sending messages to parents asking them to pay money via mpesa to be reserved rooms. A similar message has been shared below.

KINDLY NOTE: That Moi University  accommodation payments are made through the the University bank accounts provided in the admission letter and not by CASH or M-PESA.

If you receive this kind of message below kindly ignore and consider it a hoax;

“Good morning, Welcome to Moi University.
This Is Dr J.M Muia, Directorate Of Accommodation Services. Please Note That The Deadline For Booking Your Hostel For One Academic Year Closes Today At 2 P.M
The Booking Fee Is Ksh 10,000.

If You Are Not Interested To Stay In The University Hostels You Are Adviced To Report Before 5th And Organise For Self Accommodation From The Nearby Premises. You Can Send The Money Via Mpesa For Activation.”
