The University of Nairobi Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has announced that UNSA, formerly SONU elections will be held virtually on 25, March 2022. Below is the complete timeline.

UNSA 2022 elections Timeline

A summary of the 2022 University of Nairobi student association (UNSA) elections dates is as follows:

• Submission of names of aspiring teams: Monday, 7th March 2022
• Publication of nominated aspiring teams: Thursday, 17th March 2022
• Submission of agent list: Monday, 21st March 2022
• Voting day for faculty and campus students’ association: Friday, 25th March 2022; 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
• Counting and announcement of results: After the conclusion of voting
• Swearing in day: Saturday, 26th March 2022
• Students’ Council Election: Within one month after the completion of faculty and campus elections

UNSA Students elections

All University of Nairobi students found in the register of voters in the electronic voting system are eligible to vote. Unlike SONU elections, the amended UNSA Constitution provides a completely different approach to conducting student elections at the University of Nairobi.
