Design and display Specifications

The Tecno Camon 12 has one of the best designs in all the Tecno phones, the phone is also unique in that the color of the phone shifts with different variations of light.  The volume and power buttons are located on the right side of the phone while the micro SD card slot is located on the right side of the phone. The charging port, microphone jack, speaker grill, and the microphone. At the back, there is a triple-lens camera set up which is 16 MP + 2 MP + 8 MP. The fingerprint scanner is also located at the backplate which is made of premium plastic material. The front display of the phone is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which measures 6.52 inches, 102.6 cm2 with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.

Camera features

The camera, which I believe is the most distinguishing feature of the Camon 12, has an overall good image quality. 

Its rear camera has 2 MP f2.4 aperture and 16mp f2.0 aperture while its front (selfie) camera has 16 MP.

The main camera supports several functionalities such as autofocus, geotapping, continuous zooming, self-timer, face detection, digital zoom and many more. The selfie camera is single lensed and 16-megapixel supports AI beauty, FaceID, HDR and LED dual flash. Camon 12 also supports a high video resolution of 1080p@30fps. However, the image quality of Camon 12 is not that sharp in low light intensity. Taking pictures in a place with good lighting is advisable for sharp image quality.

Battery Life

The 4000 mAh battery makes it possible to use the phone to up to one day without needing to charge it while playing games and using it to surf the internet. The MT6762 Helio P22 chipset of the phone makes it very power efficient. However, Camon 12 does not support fast charging and takes about 2 hours to fully charge to 100%.
