One of those notable websites is Kenya-Post, which was once ranked number two in Kenya. According the latest 2015 alexa rank results, Kenya-Post is nowhere to be seen even among the top 5 websites in Kenya. Standard media continues with its dominancy in number one followed by Daily Nation. It is also noted that Jumia Kenya has made a major improvement to number five overtaking Kenya-post.

According to the 2014 trend, it is expected that in 2015 Jumia might improve to number two in Kenya. Kenya-Post is also expected to further drop its ranking if it won’t improve on its content. Standard Media’s www.sde.co.ke is also expected to rise from 11 in Kenya to about number five because of Kenyans’ love for entertainment news.

The rise of Jumia Kenya to number five has majorly been contributed by its press release marketing strategy that has seen it increase sites linking to it from 50 in 2013 to 191.
