Samsung, like most reputable smartphone manufacturers skipped releasing their flagships during the 2018 Consumer Electronics Summit held in Las Vegas.  Samsung will instead release their 2018 Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus flagships just before the Barcelona Mobile World Congress. Going by this leak we earlier detailed, the specs are not far off the mark.

Here are the technical specifications for the Galaxy S9.

Galaxy S9 Display

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will feature a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED curved (infinity) display with a resolution of 1440×2960 pixels (568ppi).

The display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 (front and back as well).

Galaxy S9 OS and Processors

The S9 will run on Android 8.0 (Oreo). It will be powered by an Octa-core processor based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

S9 RAM and Storage

The device will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD of up to 256GB.

Galaxy S9 Camera

The device will feature a Dual-12MP primary camera (f/1.5, 1/2.5” and f/2.4, 1/3.6”), HDR, OIS, phase detection, LED flash and capability to record 2160p video at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps.

The secondary camera is 8MP (f/1.6) with autofocus, dual video call, HDR and 1440p video recording.

S9 Network and Connectivity

The Galaxy S9 supports GSM, HSPA and LTE network standards. Connectivity is via Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot.

Bluetooth 5.0, A2DP, LE, aptX. GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO. USB 3.1, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector.
