The education sector is crippling as Kaimenyi watches. In a duration of one month 4 public universities have been closed Pwani University being the latest. However, the closure of Pwani university is somewhat different and funny.
In an official memo released by Pwani University Vice Chancellor Prof. RAJAB on Madaraka Day (20th October 2015) the university is experiencing water shortage which cannot allow it to continue with its service anymore.
The memo read;
SUBJECT: CLOSURE OF THE UNIVERSITY
Following the acute and persistent shortage of water for the last two weeks as a result of water disconnection to Kilifi — Mariakani Water and Sewerage Company (KIMAWASCO) by the Coast Water Service Board, the University Senate has decided to close the University until further notice.
All students are therefore requested to make arrangements to vacate the University premises by 11.00 am today, 20th October 2015.
