Media Council of Kenya (MCK) has announced over 400 industrial attachment opportunism for journalism and media students in Universities and Colleges in Kenya.

MCK Industrial placement programme for Journalism students
While making the announcement on 12th August 2021, the Media Council of Kenya indicated that it had secured over 400 opportunities in various media houses in Kenya for students undertaking Media and Journalism degree and diploma courses in Kenya.
MCK CEO David Omwoyo noted that the need to find industrial attachment opportunities for students was driven by the fact that journalism students are finding it hard to get industrial attachment and in the extreme are forced to pay to be placed.
MCK Attachment Details
Each quarter of the year, 100 students will be placed in various media houses in Kenya.
Media Council of Kenya will pay Ksh. 15,000 for each attachee to cover transport and insurance expenses.
The attachment will last for a period of three months.

The Media Council of Kenya has not yet opened online applications nor provided any forms.
