Universities Academic Staff Union (UASU) leaders  have moved to Maseno University to intensify their strike over CBA rows.

 

 

 

 

UASU SG Constantine Wesonga Address

While speaking to the media on 20th February 2017  Uasu secretary-general Constantine Wesonga insisted that the lecturers strike is still on.

 

Wesonga  indicated that the  Thursday negotiation with the government led by CS education Fred Matiangi collapsed as the government was not ready for a counter offer.

In the collective bargaining agreement -CBA , the lecturers are demanding  for an increase in basic salary, house allowance, Mortgage allowance, payment to lectures who supervise masters and phd students e.t.c
