oel Baraka get ready you are leaving for prison in ten minutes. ” “No he is not going anywhere if there is someone who should face criminal charges then it is you. ”  A woman told the ugly policeman. Behind her was Erick and they looked so much alike and Lucy was absolutely certain that they were mother and son. “I want you to tell me everything that you are doing and what is your motive. I have been investigating your case for three months now.” She told him showing her CID identity. The policeman remained a statue. “We haven’t had enough witnesses to your crimes but don’t worry what you did with Joel might be enough. She ordered her men to take him to prison immediately. “Arvin, the wise people said that nothing lasts forever. You should have thought about that saying before engaging in illegal business. ” Erick’s mother told him. ”There is a truck full of cocaine at the border disguised in cement sacks, there is a pickup full of elephant teeth, trunks and other animals skin. You have five students in every campus to smuggle illegal drugs…” At this point Lucy could only think about Leona and Jeff being part of Arvin’s plan. The list of his businesses was long according to Erick’s mother. “I don’t know what you are talking about. I don’t even have links with senior officers and am not even corrupt. ” Arvin said in defense. “Ooh yeah of course you don’t know all that.!” She punched his face. “Don’t play smart with me. It doesn’t suit you at all. “She removed the money he had been given by Leona from his pockets. “This triple treasure am holding here isn’t true money. I also know your identity Arvin. You are not a cop but an ex politician from the city disguised as a poor man. Now you had better shut up as your truth will be revealed soon.” They entered the police car and left.

“Erick are you a detective too? I suppose you are working with your mother in this case. So who is Leona.? Joe asked. “Yes Erick please tell us. I believe you know so much about her. How did you know how to save Joe?” Lucy asked impatiently. “Well am an undercover cop. Concealed identity and I can’t disclose everything to you guys. Just keep Leona away from you because she is very dangerous. Some information is confidential to our department. Lucy I wanted to get close to you since you are Leona’s friend in an attempt to unmask her. That’s why I so desperately wanted a date with you and am sorry for being an opportunist. I will always be your friend and protect you. The two of you can help me with something.” Erick explained his request and they agreed to it. He then drove them home and asked them to keep safe. Lisa was in the kitchen preparing evening tea when Joe and Lucy arrived. Hey everyone how did it go? ” She sat next to Lucy ready for gossip. Joe excused himself to go bathe and change at his house.” She fooled all of us. And Joe? Goodness he fell in love with a witch. Seriously Lucy there’s more to a person than what meets the eye.” Lisa said as she served  them tea. Something was so wrong. I was dating Jeff and Leona was dating Joe. Were they planning something? What if they were among the university students working with Arvin. I felt a quick shiver down my spine.

I had made many mistakes before but falling in love with Jeff was the ultimate. Lucy thought. “Hey aren’t you gona drink your tea it’s already cold for the second time. ” Lisa distracted. The tea tasted great made her feel fresh and relieved. Lucy needed to see Joe then she thought about Erick. It woud be nice to talk to a cop. She perused through her notebook for his number but she couldn’t find it. She checked it in her phone though very certain it was never there, it had never been there because they never talked through the phone. “What now? Where is it?” She was definitely trying to capture Lisa’s attention. “Are you looking for this? ” Lisa was holding a small piece of paper. Could that be Erick’s number? “Well, do you remember that day when you brought flowers home. Erick had bought them for you and you took his number? Here it is now. It is weird how you keep people away and look for them later. I am sorry about Jeff just think about it before dating Erick he could be worse.” “Lisa it is not what you think. I can’t be that desperate and I already told you that he is an undercover cop. He said Leona is dangerous. I thought that maybe he knows what Jeff and Leona are up to. It cannot be a coincidence that Leona is Joe’s ex and Jeff is my ex and they happen to be caught kissing. Think about that Lisa. Those two are up to something very fishy. Now give me that number please.”Lucy pleaded. Erick’s phone was not going through. She had to talk to Joe since there was also some errand they had to run as requested by Erick. She ran to his place and talked to him about her wild thoughts. “You are right something is wrong though I hope everything is okay. Maybe this thing will help Erick in his investigation.” Joe was very optimistic about life unlike Lucy who had so many fears and concerns. “I hope so too. Let’s get this delivered to Leona now. Erick wants it there as soon as possible.” Lucy said wrapping the parcel. Erick came in a rush, he looked very happy…..Part 7 coming soon
