Design and display specifications

The Y6 prime was designed as a lightweight device. The backplate is made of soft plastic material while the front is made of glass. Also at the back is a single 13 MP, f/1.8, camera with LED flash as well as a fingerprint scanner. At the bottom back of the device is the branding of the Huawei device. At the front, there is an 8 MP camera a speaker above the camera and charging notification beside it. On the left side of the device is the Dual SIM slot as well as the Micro SD card slot.

The volume and power buttons are located on the right side of the device while at the bottom there is the USB/charging slot and speakers. At the top are a noise cancellation microphone and the headphone jack. The Y6 has a display of 6.09 inches, 91.0 cm2 with a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio. The screen is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and supports 16M colors.

The Y6 prime has an 8 MP front camera 13 MP back camera. The images of the front camera are decent although images or videos may not be well exposed. The camera can record videos in 1080p, @30fp.

The Y6 Prime runs on 2 GB of RAM and 32GB storage. The phone also runs on Android 9.0 pie. The performance of the device is quite fast and good for gaming and other singular processes. Overloading the phone with multiple processes is not advisable as this may crash some applications.

Battery Life

The Y6 Prime is powered by a Non-removable Li-Ion 3020 mAh battery. Despite the small battery capacity, you get about 7 hours of screen on time. Although the device does not support fast charging, it takes about 2 hours to be fully charged.
