It has taken long than usual for HELB to disburse student loans to their bank accounts. Reason behind this? Cash flow systems as stated by HELB through their online portal. Some students have deferred, some students have missed exams and some have embarked into other businesses in order to generate some revenue to push them through the semester. As time goes by, HELB is becoming more unreliable and unreliable. All in all here is the good news from HELB;

“2nd and Subsequent Loan Disbursement: Higher Education Loans Board is pleased to inform the 2nd and subsequent successful applicants in session that their respective loan awards will be credited into their bank accounts as from Wednesday 17th September 2014.The applicants should check their individual bank accounts as from Wednesday. Due the bank transaction procedures, Payments take sometime to mature at least three days . Friday, 19/9/2014 would be the most convenient date for 2nd and subsequent successful applicants in session to check their respective bank account. Any Inconveniences caused are highly regretted.
