Mombasa has been a tourist attraction since time immemorial due to its sandy beaches and humid atmosphere. It is advisable to clearly understand what you will need during your vacation at the Kenyan Coast. Compare the hotel prices and find out which hotels offer what in regards to your needs. Also find out the taxi rates so that you do not end up overspending.
After researching, have a budget drafted. This will ensure that you have all your plans in place. It will also ensure that you do not overindulge in one activity that is very expensive but rather spread your resources evenly.
Carry your own snacks
Having your own food always saves you largely in terms of finances. Many of the restaurants on the way always have very expensive food. If you have your own food you will end up buying very little on your way to Mombasa.
Use the available resources
Needless to say, Kenya now boasts the SGR that goes all the way to the coast. On the same note, the transportation fare is equally fare. This should save you a lot when you are travelling to the coast as compared to when you were to go via the bus or air.
