Equity Bank Mobile App is available for Android and iPhone users. Below is a guide on how to download and install the equity bank app.
Equity Mobile Banking App
Equity Mobile App is a replacement for Eazzy banking app. The new Equity app comes with improved security features and automatic updates. Other features and products include;
- Send money to Equity Bank account
- Send money to another bank account
- Send money to mobile money accounts (Mpesa or Airtel Money)
- Pay money to Popular paybill numbers like (Kenya Power, Nairobi water, Ecitizen, KRA, Schools, etc)
- Buy airtime
- Withdraw cash from Equity Agent
- Pay or get a loan online
- Temporarily block cards linked to an account
- Check account balance
- View your statement in pdf
- WesternUnion
Important! Equity mobile transactions charges were reintroduced on 1st January. Initially, it was free to transact from the equity app to mpesa.
How to download and install Equity Bank Mobile App
Equity bank app download procedure;
- Go to Google Play Store or App Store
- Download and install the equity app
- Register by adding your bank account and linked Airtel, Equitel, Telkom or Safaricom phone number
- Set your security questions and password
- Start transacting to your own account. You will receive an OTP for every transaction you make.
If you are not able to register using the mobile app, use Equity Online Portal for registration and then login into the app using the same details. The app and the online portal login details are synched.
How to use the Equity app
When I installed the Equity Mobile app, I noticed that there were limits within the first 24 hours. I could only transact to my mobile money account. Thereafter, every feature in the app was automatically activated.
For security reasons, if you go to another tab, the app will automatically log out of your account and you will have to log in again.
All equity bank accounts registered under the same ID number that you used to link your first account will be automatically added within 24 hours. If you have a business account and personal equity bank account under the same ID, it is advisable to register the app with your personal account and the business account will be added not vice versa.
If your account has been blocked or you have forgotten your security questions, then you will have no choice but to visit the nearest Equity branch to have it unblocked or reset.
Equity mobile app apk is not available. Therefore, do not install any apk from third-party service providers.
An alternative to the Equity app is Equitel line or USSD Code.
