The documents that are required to apply for a passport in Kenya are your original ID, original birth certificate, three passport size photos, photocopy of the recommender's ID (anyone can be your recommender but not relative), photocopy of parent’s ID or death certificate, and eCitize passport application form.

Passport application is done online through eCitizen portal

After you have submitted your application via the eCitizen portal, you will be required to visit Immigration offices for Biometric Enrolment taking and form submission

Remember to carry photocopies of all the documents

The cost of passport application ranges from Ksh. 4550 to 12,050 depending on passport type
