You cannot apply for HELB loan without an ID. For you to sign loan agreement with HELB, you must provide your ID number, without it, the agreement cannot be signed, which means you cannot apply for HELB loan.
You must have KRA pin inorder to apply for HELB loan. Getting KRA pin is free, quick and simple. Just go to KRA portal and apply for KRA pin online: https://itax.kra.go.ke/KRA-Portal/
You cannot apply for HEF loan without a Nationa ID. Waiting Card is also not allowed. However, you can apply for HEF scholarships if you do not have an ID Card or are below 18 years. ID is the only recognized document when entering into an agreement with loan providers.
You cannot apply for HELB loan past the deadline of application. The option for applying will be disabled. This is both for first-time applicants and second subsequent applications.
