what happens if one applies for late birth certificate?

Hello. I would like to know what happens if one applies for late birth certificate? I have a daughter and she is 1.5 months old and she doesn't have a birth certtificate yet. Please advice.

You can apply for a late birth certificate by visiting the civil registration office in your county.  Make sure you have both parents' details. If your child was born in Nairobi, try to apply for a birth certificate online using the eCitizen portal.
