SportPesa Launches Tujiamini Initiative to Reward Talent

SportPesa has today announced the launch of the Tujiamini Initiative. The initiative seeks to empower the youth and budding talent in the creative economy by availing the dire needed resources to spur them to the next level. It will take place countrywide for the whole year and will be renewed every year.

Tujiami Initiative Award Categories

That initiative will award and reward applicants in four respective categories.

  • Gold Award: Will offer support up to 500,000 shillings.
  • The Silver Award: Five awardees get up to 100,000 shillings.
  • The Bronze Award: Will have 80 awardees each receiving 10,000 shillings.
  • Cheza Dimba Award: This will award a grassroots football team with up to 250,000 shillings annually for the next three years.

Application Process

Interested individuals can visit the Tujiamini website and apply.

The objective of Tujiamini Initiative is to uplift talents from those grassroots levels. It is a relaunch of what existed in the past and was paused when the company started facing regulatory challenges.

People participating in this initiative will be uploading the videos themselves, will be identifying themselves, and then they will get to be seen in the larger platform. Sportpesa says a website will be unveiled where participants will be uploading such videos. This means football clubs can use the platform to identify and recruit talented players.
