Standard Group appoints Grant Thornton as external auditors

The Standard Group announced that it has appointed Grant Thornton LLP as their External Auditor from 31 January 2024 following the exit of PwC Kenya. The complete statement available below; 

Pursuant to the provisions of Regulation G.05 (1) (b) of the Fifth Schedule of the Capital Markets (Securities) (Public Offers and Disclosures) Regulations, 2002 - amended 2019, the Board

of Directors of The Standard Group PLC ("the Company") wishes to notify the public of the appointment of Grant Thornton LLP as the Company's External Auditor with effect from 31st

January 2024, to fill a casual vacancy following the resignation of PwC Kenya.

The Board takes this opportunity to welcome Grant Thornton LLP and extends its gratitude to PwC Kenya for the exemplary external audit services rendered to the Company during their tenure.
